Job Summary:

The Rollins College Wellness Center is seeking part-time temporary counselors to join our dynamic and student-centered Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team for the 2025–2026 academic year. CAPS is part of an integrated Wellness Center that includes Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Health Services, and Health Promotions, all working collaboratively to support student well-being. Reporting to the Director of CAPS, these counselors will provide culturally competent clinical services, consultation, and outreach consistent with the mission of the Wellness Center.
- Provide direct clinical services including crisis management, individual therapy, and group work.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
- Participate in outreach and wellness promotion activities, including workshops and educational programming.
- Collaborate with Wellness Center colleagues and campus partners to support student well-being.
- Represent the Wellness Center professionally at campus and community events.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with state and professional guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:
|
- Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or related field.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health.
- Previous or current work experience with college-aged students.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse staff, faculty, and student population.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Additional Position Information:
|
Anticipated Employment Dates: August 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026
Schedule: CAPS Counselors will work approximately 20-25 hours per week, for a total of less than 1,000 hours per year. Scheduled hours per week will depend on operational needs. Availability and readiness to work during non-office hours (including nights, early mornings, and weekends) may be required as needed.
Compensation: The hourly rate is $25.00 and there are no benefits associated with this appointment.

- Front-facing customer service role on-campus. Office/community field environment work (e.g., residential halls).
- Work requires visual strain, use of computer.
