Position Summary:

The Department of Music at Rollins College is seeking a candidate for a full-time, lecturer/artist-in-residence, who is a dynamic musician and music industry professional to join our faculty. Successful candidates may teach undergraduate music major elective courses selected from commercial music, American popular music, music publishing, music business and marking, and will collaborate with the faculty in continuing to develop music business related courses. Additional responsibilities will include teaching general education courses to both music majors and non-majors, and active in the performance area of our major.

The appointee will also be expected to serve on departmental and faculty committees and participate in faculty governance as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications and Education: 

  • Master’s degree in music or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the following areas: music marketing, artist management, music publishing and licensing, music in media, media composition, entrepreneurship, and copyright.
  • Demonstrated record of music performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of successful full-time, college-level teaching.
  • Terminal degree.
  • Demonstrated success as an innovative classroom pedagogy.
  • Documented experience in research and publication.
