We are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant to join our high-performing Investment Finance team to help drive strong financial outcomes and commercial support for the business. The key objective of this role is to support the Investment business across its Retail and Commercial asset portfolios. This role will partner with the asset and property managers across the business to deliver accurate and timely financial results, month end activities, management reporting and forecasting and budgeting. 

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

• Working closely with property and centre managers to ensure all relevant charges are invoiced to tenants 
• Ensuring P&L for operational assets are accurate and review P&L variance report against forecasts and budgets
• Ongoing maintenance of general ledger accounts and completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Work closely with the asset management teams as a trusted Finance Business Partner, to solve finance related issues and provide commercial insights to drive desired outcomes 
• Support the asset monthly forecasting and annual budget process, working collaboratively with asset teams to identify risks and opportunities
• Provide timely financial reporting, analysis and insights for designated portfolio
• Preparation and review of monthly financial results designated portfolio, including analysis and commentary on the performance of the assets 
• Statutory reporting to the Corporate team for the Executive team and Board 
• Prepare details and support documentation for audit and work to assist external auditor queries
• Streamline financial accounting and reporting processes; ongoing process improvement

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

• CA or CPA qualified
• Demonstrated experience within retail or commercial property is highly desirable
• Strong reporting and financial systems capability, SAP and Excel skills essential
• Strong skills in analysis, time management, and written and verbal communications
