The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team in Full time/Permanent basis.
Reporting to the Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the Group. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to corporate decision-making, strategic planning and process improvements that shape the financial future of Frasers Property Australia.
About the role:
You will work closely with senior management, corporate finance teams, and key business stakeholders to deliver valuable financial insights and ensure accurate forecasting. Your responsibilities include:
- Planning & Analysis: Evaluating financial performance by comparing actual results to forecasts and prior periods, analysing key assumptions and their impact on Group earnings and strategic objectives. You will maintain the Group’s financial model, which supports the financial position (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and collaborate with corporate functions (Tax, Treasury, Financial Accounting) to ensure accurate forecast outcomes.
- Management Reporting: Leading the Investor Relations and Annual Report submissions to the parent entity in Singapore, providing reports and analyses for budget submissions. You will also support in preparation of Finance Committee and other Board presentations for the CFO.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Identifying and implementing process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial forecasts, supporting Finance and IT projects with key enhancements, including updates to the Group’s financial model, and participate in user acceptance testing for necessary system upgrades.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Building strong relationships, communicate financial insights effectively, and supporting executive decision-making through high-quality reporting.
About you:
- CA or CPA qualification
- 3+ years’ experience in the property, real estate, or related industries
- Commercial exposure, preferably within the real estate sector
- Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting within a mid-to-large corporate environment
- Board reporting experience (preferred)
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Proficiency in SAP, Business Objects, and IBM Planning Analytics (highly desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial data analysis tools
