Estia Health Ringwood is a welcoming home, providing quality care to the local community. With a choice of accommodation located on campus alongside the Waldreas Retirement Village, the home is opposite Ringwood Golf Club and just a short drive from shops and other community services. Estia Health Ringwood Home is situated 1.5 km away from Knox Private Hospital, Wantirna.
About the role
Estia Health Ringwood has exciting opportunities for Dementia Care Certified Carers/PCA's (Specialized Dementia Carer/PCA) to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis , working a range of morning, afternoon and evening/night shifts.
Every individual in our homes has a story. You’ll get to know each one as you:
Lend a hand with daily life – making sure our residents feel heard, comfy and well-fed.
Work with our team to support those with challenging needs.
Help keep our residents’ bodies and minds active.
Keep tabs on our residents’ health – helping with treatments and providing medication under a registered nurse.
Be a friend to our residents.
Make sure every resident’s privacy and dignity is respected.
You’ll be a true team player and great communicator, with:
A genuine passion for supporting elderly people living with Dementia
A certificate III or IV in Aged Care
Specialized knowledge of complex dementia care including challenging behaviors
Relevant experience of working with people living with Dementia & their needs.
Solid clinical documentation and computer skills
