Position Summary

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in arts entrepreneurship, including grant writing and funding research, marketing and public relations, financial management for self-employed artists, legal issues in the arts, self-management, booking, and touring, creating a music-based entrepreneurial venture, and other business topics Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in arts entrepreneurship, including grant writing and funding research, marketing and public relations, financial management for self-employed artists, legal issues in the arts, self-management, booking, and touring, creating a music-based entrepreneurial venture, and other business topics.

Position is planned to recur every Spring Semester.

Required Degree

Masters -Music, Business or Related field

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of part-time or full-time teaching experience at the college level, as well as five or more years of experience as a working musician or music industry professional or a combination of equivalent relevant experience.  Successful applicants must also have experience presenting workshops or lectures on music business, careers in music, or entrepreneurship.
