Position Summary
Office supervisor will oversee the intake and referral process of the Counseling and Psychiatry Services unit. Position directly supervises reception staff including hiring, orientation, training and performance management. Position will function as a working supervisor able to perform the duties of subordinates for coverage during lunch/breaks, vacations and other absences. Responsible as back up for creating master schedules for providers within two electronic medical record systems and serving as the point person for all departmental issues regarding EMR systems. This position processes billing needs for the department.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational or business school with coursework in office management and business; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office management, budget preparation, financial and administrative record-keeping and secretarial skills; experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing software; and one to three years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business. Three or more years of experience in a health care or counseling services setting providing administrative support to upper management and direct supervision of staff. Excellent organizational, planning and customer service skills. Knowledge of electronic medical records and patient scheduling software. Knowledge of University policies and procedures such as use of Procurement Cards, EBS and experience supervising within a unionized setting.
