Position Summary
The Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health at Michigan State University is seeking a full time Office Coordinator to assist with our recruitment and search process, aimed at hiring 18 tenure track faculty. The coordinator will assist the Associate Chair of Recruitment (Amber Pearson) and will: 1) Conduct administrative tasks related to PageUp system and hiring processes; 2) Liaise with candidates and visitors, faculty, and others to ensure seamless planning; 3) Make Travel arrangements, work in Concur, draft itineraries; 4) Advertise lectures within and beyond DPH, draft social media posts; and 5) Manage coordination during in-person visits (e.g., on campus transportation).
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service or in performing tasks related to Public Health; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and valid driver's license.
Experience with MSU systems including Concur, PageUp, and purchasing.
