Position Summary

This position will conduct comprehensive pathological examinations on animal tissues submitted to the VDL; Consult with other VDL pathologists and faculty, practicing veterinarians, animal owners, and when appropriate animal disease regulatory officials. The position duties are to interpret and diagnose incoming biopsy cases, follow up on active cases, dictate and review case results, consult with referring vets and/or animal owners and interpret ancil. results.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Veterinary Medicine

Minimum Requirements

This position requires a DVM or equivalent degree and will have certification by ACVP, or possess a DVM and PHD with demonstrated satisfactory progress toward ACVP cert. and a Residency in diagnostic pathology with at least three year's work experience as pathologist.

Work Hours

Work hours are Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 5:30pm and may include weekends and holidays on a rotational basis and are set in consultation with the supervisor.
