Position Summary

Education Required: Masters degree in a PFAS-related fieldExperience Required: 1–2 years (including graduate-level experience) Primary Purpose of the Position To lead and assist with the development and delivery of educational outreach related to PFAS contamination, targeted specifically at agricultural producers. This includes translating scientific knowledge into accessible content for use by communities, educators, and policymakers.

Major Responsibilities and Time Allocation Educational Content Development (50%) Develop outreach materials, including webinars, printed fact sheets, and discussion group guides. Translate complex PFAS science into usable information for lay audiences. Sampling Strategy and Data Interpretation (25%) Assist in designing PFAS sampling strategies and interpreting lab data for use in outreach messaging. Work collaboratively with analytical labs and research teams. Digital Communication and Organization (25%) Support website content development and information organization. Help maintain a central hub for public-facing PFAS resources. Outreach Focus Communicating what PFAS are and why they pose a risk. Educating farming communities on how PFAS affect agriculture and how producers can mitigate or avoid contamination. Disseminating up-to-date scientific findings to the public in understandable formats.
