Position Summary

The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University is currently seeking a fixed-term Lecturer/Ast Instructor/Instructor in Finance to teach undergraduate students. This position requires a strong commitment to teaching and an ability to develop and implement curriculum. The successful candidate will teach courses in Hospitality Finance, Hospitality Asset Management, Hospitality Real Estate Investment Finance, Hospitality Managerial Accounting, and related undergraduate courses for hospitality students. The candidate may manage the Real Estate Investment minor as Director. All faculty members are expected to develop industry connections and to continuously update their expertise through industry support and scholarly activities. Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate is preferred to have a master's degree from an accredited university and a demonstrated record of teaching excellence in Finance. The candidate must also have experience developing curriculum, and a passion for engaging and educating undergraduate and graduate students. There is a possibility that the candidate will also teach in a graduate program in the future. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position, as the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and interact with students from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, a commitment to advising is essential for this role. Master's degree required for Instructor rank and Bachelor's required for Ast. Instructor.  

Desired Qualifications

At least 10 years in a role with finance, development, and or Real Estate experience. Advanced Excel modeling skills are a strong advantage. 

Work experience in the hospitality industry on a global level is desired.
