Program Manager
Position Summary
The MSU Operations Program Manager launches products on-time with high quality and maximum access for Small-to-Medium sized Businesses (SMBs). This person will partner with the Apple’s Academy program team ensuring the highest success in operational efficiency delivering state-of-the-art training programs to SMBs, including leading the bring up and operational readiness of the Apple Manufacturing Academy and working with internal and external partners. Operations Program Managers are pivotal to the dynamic development and launch of the Apple Manufacturing Academy’s products. A successful operations program manager is a leader and facilitator; is driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program and project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts, both internally and with partners. Coordination across MSU and Apple teams on training, marketing, SMB participation and other functions necessary for the Manufacturing Academy’s success.
Duties:
Program Launch Execution
Lead the end-to-end operational readiness and successful launch of SMB-focused in-person and online training products for the Apple Manufacturing Academy, ensuring on-time delivery with high quality. Oversees the department and employees - Manager of People.
Cross-Functional Program Coordination
Serve as a central point of coordination between MSU, Apple, and external partners across training, marketing, quality, procurement, and logistics to align resources and timelines. Managers projects and initiatives through coordination of internal and external resources, creation of deadlines and ensure successful completion.
Operational Readiness Leadership
Own the bring-up and launch of Academy training sites or programs, ensuring all operational elements (infrastructure, systems, partners) are in place and functioning before go-live. Assigns responsibilities and monitors progress.
Partner & Stakeholder Collaboration
Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external vendors to ensure cohesive execution of pre-launch and post-launch activities. Resolves conflicts and strategizes with action plans to execute.
Communication & Reporting
Deliver clear, timely updates to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring visibility into risks, milestones, and program health.
Technical Oversight & Alignment
Apply technical knowledge in engineering and manufacturing to support alignment of program delivery with Apple’s standards and goals for innovation and excellence.
This role is occasionally virtual and occasionally present in the office.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Industrial, Electrical, Technology or Business related field; three to five years of related and progressively more expansive work experience in project management, business analysis, facilitating/training with a focus on business management; work flow process analysis and implementation of strategic initiatives or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Ideally this candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field to that of the Bachelor's degree or additional training in educational program management, design and training techniques. 5-8 years experience in manufacturing or related industry where modern technology is used to solve problems.
This person should have 4-6 years of management or supervisory experience. Has the ability to execute and implement the intended vision and purpose of this program.
