Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

Assist the planner/inspector/analyst (PIA) of Asbestos and Hazardous Material Abatement with daily tasks, administrative duties, and field work. The PIA Asbestos and Hazardous Abatement oversees the removal of asbestos, lead, PCB’s, Mercury and other hazardous building material from campus. We work closely with the office of Environmental Health and Safety to ensure all work is done per Federal, State, and local regulations. Duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling work and assisting with project management
  • Assist with bid document preparation and process
  • Interface with customers and suppliers
  • Deliver materials to a project site
  • Collect/Analyze data
  • Look up hazardous building material data from archived reports
  • Assist with the documentation of hazardous building materials
  • Drafting emails and other communications with contractors and customers
  • Assist with process/procedure development
  • Process invoices and reports
  • Create purchase requisitions

    • Windows operating system (able to navigate system and locate files/network drives)
  • Experience with the following is a plus, but not required:
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Microsoft Planner
    • Work Order Management Systems
