Position Summary

  • Provide leadership in collaboration with the faculty in determining appropriate new directions for professional workshops and courses, especially those focused on stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with faculty to develop new professional (online) workshops and courses on a wide variety of forestry subjects, designed to enhance and broaden existing offerings.
  • Deliver online (non-credit) courses with a preference toward asynchronous, self-paced study, allowing for professionals to work around their schedules and locations.
  • Provide service to the department via occasional guest presentations, seminars, student career development talks, committee work, etc.
  • Assist with improving curricula within existing degree programs, bringing perspective from stakeholder interests.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Forestry or related natural resources discipline

Minimum Requirements

  • Earned PhD in Forestry or related natural resources discipline
  • At least six years of experience in the forestry industry
  • Demonstrated ability to teach professional courses/workshops
  • Deep connections with forestry and/or natural resources stakeholders
