Position Summary
The Laboratory of Dr. Liu is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join a collaborative research program focused on the design, fabrication, and characterization of hydrogels for three-dimensional (3D) induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture and the development of related analytical setups. In addition, the researcher will work on protein expression, purification, and functional characterization. The successful candidate must be capable of independently planning, executing, and completing research projects within defined timelines. A strong record of productivity and follow-through is expected. The candidate should be able to analyze and interpret data, prepare high-quality manuscripts, and deliver tangible research outcomes. This position requires strong execution ability, scientific rigor, and the capacity to work efficiently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. The appointment is initially for 9 months, renewable based on performance and funding availability. The position includes salary and fringe benefits for the initial term.

Required Degree
Doctorate -engineering, chemistry, biotech
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related field by the start of the position. The ideal candidate will have a strong biology and chemistry background and significant experience with the synthesis and characterization of polymeric materials, protein materials, and cell culture.
Desired Qualifications
Hands-on experience in stem cell culture, especially 3D or induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) systems. Experience in hydrogel synthesis, characterization, or biomaterial fabrication. Proficiency in protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization. Familiarity with techniques such as fluorescence microscopy, rheology, or mechanical testing. Strong organizational and documentation skills; ability to translate experimental findings into manuscripts or reports.
