Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Unit Position Summary
This is a grant-funded position assisting research projects involving application of smartphones and other digital devices, while improving digital skills and encouraging the use of telehealth for older adults and kinship care groups.
Job Duties
- Coordinates communications and meetings, providing logistical and event support, developing meeting summaries and action items, and monitoring follow up.
- Organizes training resources and logistics for training volunteers and participants.
- Participates in identifying and developing new and expanded resource content in support of program initiatives.
- Serves as a point of contact for project activities with local agencies and community partners.
- Participates in online/virtual and in person program activities.
- Assists with program evaluation including data collection, summarization and file maintenance.
- Assists in developing and maintaining online communications and community engagement.
- Participates in other tasks as needed.
Desired Qualifications

- A degree in social work or related social or health sciences (e.g. public health, communication, psychology, counseling); project experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is helpful.
- Prior experience assisting on projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to organize and balance several ongoing project-related tasks at one time.
- Understanding and use of email and calendar tools, online searches and virtual meeting tools, proficiency with MS Tools (Word and PPT), and general logistics required for organizing and coordinating meetings and events.
- Independent thinking, ability to anticipate needs for logistic support and upcoming challenges.

- Experience in conducting in-person/telephone interviews
- Skilled use of basic technology (e.g., email, social media, Zoom, calendars).
