Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.
Unit Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Assistant to join our AI for Agriculture initiative. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying intelligent systems that leverage advanced AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, to solve critical agricultural challenges. The candidate will be responsible for building end-to-end solutions, integrating AI models into practical applications, and ensuring robust performance in real-world agricultural settings.
In addition, the Technical Assistant will develop user-friendly mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, enabling farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to interact seamlessly with AI-driven insights. This includes designing intuitive interfaces, implementing responsive features, and ensuring a smooth user experience. The candidate should have strong expertise in AI/ML model integration, mobile app development, cloud services, and data management.
The role requires someone with a problem-solving mindset, strong programming skills, and a collaborative approach, capable of translating research innovations into practical tools that enhance agricultural productivity, sustainability, and decision-making. The Technical Assistant will work closely with our research team, partners, and end-users to ensure solutions are both technically robust and accessible.
Desired Qualifications
MS in computer science, data science or related fields
Good English communication
