Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Duties:

  1. Conduct research on the topic of biometrics and/or plant genomics and phenomics.  
  2. Meet regularly with professor and graduate students in the lab to provide updates and obtain guidance on research.
  3. Prepare monthly reports describing progress.
  4. Present research progress to other students in the lab during scheduled lab meetings.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Motivated high-school student with an interest in the STEM field.
  2. Student should have a GPA of at least 3.9.
  3. Student should have completed (or should currently be enrolled in) basic courses in Chemistry, Biology, and Pre-Calculus.
