Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Research assistance tasks and responsibilities include locating relevant primary sources online for an ongoing research project in history; creating a data set of relevant sources, including a summary of the content of each relevant primary source; identifying NGOs and other organizations relevant to the research project; meeting regularly with the faculty member who is the principal investigator on this project to discuss progress. Meetings can be remote or in person.

Desired Qualifications

Required: BA degree in history or adjacent disciplines (e.g. anthropology, sociology, romance languages). Proficiency in English, French, and Portuguese.

Preferred: basic familiarity with excel
