Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

The candidate is expected to support research on Large Language Models (LLMs) in education, including applications such as automated grading, teacher professional development, and AI-assisted learning tools. The position focuses on testing LLM-based educational solutions, organizing educational data, supporting system evaluation, and helping translate AI capabilities into practical use cases for teaching and learning.

Duties:

• Help test and evaluate LLM tools for education (e.g., auto‑grading, lesson support, teacher professional development)
• Organize educational data, record results, and assist with performance analysis
• Support faculty with research procedures, documentation, and lab tasks
• Participate in research meetings and contribute to project notes or summaries

Desired Qualifications

• Currently enrolled high school student (grades 9–12)
• Interest in AI, computer science, education, or problem‑solving using technology
• Basic computer literacy; willingness to learn AI and LLM basics
• Responsible, reliable, and able to follow research protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with Python, LLMs, or educational tools is a plus but not required
