Position Summary

• Will collect, sort, and transport soiled and clean linen.
• Will orient new Building Sanitation Workers and student employees to the assigned facilities.
• Properly cleans and stores the above equipment and other general maintenance equipment after use.
• Always keeps workers’ storage and work areas clean.
• Locks and unlocks outside doors of buildings.
• Assist students with minor building-related and maintenance problems.
• Will do minor repairs and do incidental painting.

All positions in RHS are designated as critical status. In the event of a university closure, modification, or suspension of operations due to snow or other emergency condition, persons in this position a re expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work as scheduled for the duration of the closure/suspension. If a person has an appr oved remote work agreement to work a portion of their normally schedule d work hours remotely, they may be called upon to work on-site to serve the MSU community.

Minimum Requirements

• One year of satisfactory work experience as a Building Service Worker or an equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary.
• Lifting of 26 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of over 75 pounds is necessary.
• Ability to relate to, and work wit h college students and college personnel.
• Good physical condition.
