Position Summary
The program consists of rotations through specialty areas including Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Anesthesia, and Radiology. Elective rotations (approximately 12 weeks) are provided to allow the intern to gain additional experience in areas of interest. Elective time may be spent on other rotations including Ophthalmology, Critical care, Orthopedic Surgery, Dermatology, Cardiology, Clinical Pathology, Medical Oncology, Theriogenology, Rehabilitation Therapy, Primary Care, additional time on the core (rotations) above, or on research weeks. Specialty rotations outside of MSU can be arranged with consent from the program directors. This program runs from June 8, 2026- June 30, 2027.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Veterinary Medicine
Minimum Requirements
- Passing NAVLE score
- DVM/VMD or equivalent from an AVMA accredited college
- Practicing in the MSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital requires Michigan Clinical Academic Limited and Controlled Substance licensure
