Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Unit Position Summary
This temporary position is supported by grant funding through the MiSTEM Network and is responsible for supporting the implementation of STEM education programs and related initiatives within the assigned region. The role will assist with coordinating program activities, ensuring compliance with state grant requirements, and contributing to required fiscal tracking and reporting. The position also provides administrative and operational support to ensure the effective execution of grant-funded activities within the established project period.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Coordination and Implementation
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of STEM education programs and initiatives aligned with MiSTEM regional priorities
- Assist in facilitating program activities, outreach efforts, and stakeholder engagement
- Contribute to the successful delivery of grant-funded services within established timelines
Grant Compliance and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of program activities and expenditures in alignment with grant requirements
- Assist with the preparation of required reports and documentation for state and program evaluation purposes
- Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and institutional policies and guidelines
Fiscal and Administrative Support
- Support tracking and monitoring of grant expenditures to ensure appropriate use of funds
- Provide administrative support related to program logistics, documentation, and coordination
- Assist with invoice processing and internal recordkeeping as needed
Operational Support
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to support program delivery
- Respond to program-related inquiries and provide general support to stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to program implementation and operations
Work Conditions
- This is a hybrid, temporary position funded through a grant with an expected end date aligned with the project period (through September 30, 2026)
- Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding, compliance requirements, and project needs
Desired Qualifications
Experience coordinating or supporting education, STEM, or community-based programs, including outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, ensuring successful program delivery within established deadlines.
Familiarity with grant-funded environments, including compliance requirements, reporting, and fiscal tracking.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience maintaining accurate records and supporting data-driven reporting.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to support program implementation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
