Position Summary
As part of the Student Life and Engagement unit within the Office of Student Engagement and Success (SES), the Student Support Coordinator coordinates, implements, oversees, and develops student affairs projects, initiatives, and programming activities to enhance the co-curricular activities of College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) students. This position serves as a central liaison among CVM students, CVM faculty, staff, and administrators, and representatives of external agencies and stakeholders to develop and coordinate student life programmatic activities. The Student Services Assistant also engages with CVM and Central Campus Event Planning to coordinate student-focused trainings, orientations, educational events, and workshops related to student life, student health, and student safety.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Social Science, Education, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive experience working with college students and programming or similar related volunteer activities; experience with word processing, database, desktop publishing, web page design and maintenance software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Four-year degree and experience working in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Human Resources, or related field.
