Assistant Professor Tenure System
Position Summary
Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business, Department of Supply Chain Management, has an opening for a tenure system assistant professor in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management to start in the 2027-2028 academic year. Duties include research, teaching, and service, and the teaching responsibility would involve Supply Chain or related courses.
Please note that this is a union position represented by the Union of Tenure System Faculty (UTSF). The university is working with the union to establish a collective bargaining agreement.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field
Minimum Requirements
The position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited university. Candidates must have a conferred Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or related field as of the start date of the position, and have a demonstrated record of research excellence, commensurate with their rank.
Desired Qualifications
Preference for candidates whose research focuses on healthcare operations and/or sustainability. Connections to risk and resilience within these supply chains would also be encouraged. Consistent with the language used in our previous search, we would welcome candidates using a range of empirical approaches, including data science, machine learning, and empirical analytics.
