Your role within the team

The eCommerce Channel Manager – Pharmacy is responsible for the strategic development and growth of our brands within our pharmacy channels online – including but not limited to Chemist Warehouse Australia, Chemist Warehouse NZ, and Priceline.

You will play a key role in our eRetail growth strategy, leading customer relationships and developing and executing account joint business plans – including perfect store delivery, co-op execution, eRetail Media buying, demand forecasting, inventory management, data analysis and endless aisle designing and implementation – to achieve executional, financial, marketing and operational targets and ensure sustainable long-term success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop eRetail execution plans support big brand campaigns, tactical initiatives, and new product launches across various consumer goods categories
  • Develop roadmap to best-in-class consumer experience online, using latest consumer insights and knowledge of best practice to accelerate our execution standards vs category and total market
  • End-to-end delivery, from developing sales strategies and negotiating contracts, to forecasting, briefing artwork, partnering with agencies, trading on platforms etc.
  • Continue to develop and evolve ways of working to set eCommerce up for long-term success (e.g. Operational efficiencies, running ongoing learning agenda, implementing best practice etc.)
  • Partner with sales teams (with a focus Chemist Warehouse Australia) to develop and deploy eRetail growth strategies and best-practice execution across the digital landscape as aligned to the overall digital strategy
  • Maintain a leadership role in the broader business and within the digital team; influencing and advocating for Digital + eCommerce literacy and best practices
  • Provide support across other eRetail Accounts and Digital Initiatives as required

Desired Skills & Experience

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

  • 5+ years' experience in Sales or Account Management (eCommerce or emerging account management preferred) or Shopper/Trade Marketing.
  • Experience in new business development, negotiation and partnering with retailers to develop strategic growth plans
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce path-to-purchase and opportunities to influence consumer behaviour.
  • Experience developing creative solutions to overcome customer or business challenges or capture incremental opportunities
  • Confidently managed internal processes including collaboration with work areas such as sales, finance, supply, marketing, design, product development etc.
  • Digital Marketing and eCommerce experience or qualifications, including sales channels (Amazon, eBay etc.), marketing tools and channels (Search, Display, Email), and analytics platforms (preferred)
  • Leadership and/or coaching experience either via managing direct reports or internal capability building (preferred)
