Your role within the team

The Senior Category Development Manager role works as part of the Category Team providing category thought-leadership both within the business and with key retail partners, via meaningful and actionable insights towards category and brand growth. The Category Team sits within the Sales team and works collaboratively with commercial, brand, innovation and product development to ensure activities are aligned to category strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be the agnostic voice of the category for H&H and our customers
  • Drive strong retailer relationships and be the partner of choice for category data and insight
  • Partner with the sales and marketing teams to ensure brand, innovation and channel plans are insight-led
  • Partner with the Business Managers in the development of channel, account and JBP plans
  • Lead portfolio opportunity analysis for key retail partners
  • Effectively identify opportunities to grow our merchandising footprint and manage the planogram, ensuring it is insight-led and optimised.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role in an FMCG environment
  • Proven ability to review quantitative and qualitative data and create actionable insights.
  • Experience influencing cross functional teams at all levels.
  • Customer facing experience with major retailers.
  • Experienced user of IQVIA/Nielsen data tools, Quantium an advantage
  • High level communication skills–written and verbal.
  • Advanced excel skills
