Your role within the team 
 
As the National Account Manager – Woolworths, you will support the implementation of the Woolworths business strategy. With the support of the National Sales Manager – Woolworths & Big W they will collaborate with the Woolworths buying teams to achieve executional, financial and operational targets to secure the long-term commercial success of the business. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Act as the key business management contact for retail buying teams across Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS), 

  • Create mutual, strategic joint business plans alongside the National Sales Manager with each retailer to identify and implement specific category growth initiatives, 

  • Effectively manage retail promotional programs designed to maximise sales volume and profitability, 

  • Manage and evaluate co-op investment to deliver the highest return on investment possible, 

  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth servicing of our retail accounts, across marketing, innovation, commercial finance, operations etc.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Commerce, Nutrition), 

  • 4+ years’ experience in customer-facing business development, account management or category management, 

  • Proven relationship management and negotiation skills, 

  • Project and campaign management experience with ability to engage SMEs when required, 

  • Demonstrated administration experience, with working knowledge of PR/PO processes, 

  • Advanced excel skills and substantial data analysis experience with a key focus on translating insights into actions and strategies, 

  • Understanding of the Grocery business model and how to best leverage this to grow both businesses, 

  • Accountability and responsiveness to deliver high quality customer-based service and support, 

  • Proven ability to deliver financial targets and manage costs, with strong awareness of commercial impact, 

  • Experience working with Coles, Woolworths or independent grocers preferred
