Your role within the team 
 
The Junior Scientific Affairs Associate supports the Senior Scientific Affairs Associate in providing scientific affairs support across the H&H Group for the adult nutrition category. You will also be responsible for generating scientifically accurate and clinically relevant documentation to supporting product development efficacy and claims. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Support the Senior Scientific Affairs Associate in providing scientific support across the business as required, including New Product Development (NPD); Regulatory; Marketing; Research; Public Relations; Training etc, 

• Support the Senior Scientific Affairs Associate in conducting systematic searches and reviews of the scientific literature, using the highest standard of scientific rigor, to inform product development and claims, 

• Support the Scientific Affairs Manager, Translational Science in providing scientific affairs to the business, 

• Support the Scientific Affairs Manager, Translational Science in key opinion leader relationships. 

Desired Skills & Experience

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

• Postgraduate qualification (PhD or Masters) desired in pharmaceutical, medical, nutritional, or health sciences, etc, 

• Ability to conduct strategic literature searches and critically review scientific evidence, 

• Potential to translate scientific information, 

• Willingness to develop an extensive knowledge of a variety of nutrition ingredients and their role in human nutrition, 

• Willingness to develop a basic understanding of regulatory requirements for therapeutic (listable) and non-therapeutic products (e.g. food, beverages) in Australia, Europe and China desirable, 

• Basic evaluation of research publications, preferably in the nutrition field, 

• Basic literature searches, preferably in the nutrition field, 

• Basic experience of product innovation within the FMCG space desirable, 

• Basic understanding of how to translate nutrition science into tangible business product development opportunities
