Your role within the team 
 
The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving H&H’s success by nurturing our growing relationship with Wesfarmers Health & Independent Grocery. In this role, you'll work closely with the customer buying teams to meet key financial, operational, and executional goals. Additionally, you'll support the broader team by managing financial reconciliations, including credits, OPEX, and tradespend, making strong financial literacy and attention to detail essential for success. This is a dynamic opportunity to make a significant impact on our customer partnerships and the overall performance of the team. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Commercial Acumen: relentless, proactive focus on growth and deriving value knowledge of the customer, the category, competitors and H&H commercials. 

  • Strategic Customer Planning: Building customer plans that ignite growth and create joint value in line with goals. 

  • Customer Leadership: Forging relationships, connections and trust within our customers and leveraging the H&H network & culture to maximise partnerships. 

  • Presenting with Passion & Impact: Convincing/ influencing the customer/key influencers in a dynamic & structured H&H way to agree to our proposals. 

  • Bravery & Innovation: Conceptual thinking and bold mindset to disrupt the category and create and deliver a commercial benefit. 

  • Negotiating a Win-Win: Generating better returns from our customer agreements by trading variables for a win-win outcome and long-term benefit. 

  • Wellness Expertise:  Knowledge about our products and a strong understanding of the category and mindfulness, movement and nutrition pillars to influence recommendation. 

 

Desired Skills & Experience 

We look for people who have what it takes to make an impact, who can challenge us to go further while pushing themselves to deliver exciting & ambitious results.  

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

  • Min 2-3 years business development management, account management, category management or marketing experience, applying strong commercial practices, 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Commerce) 

  • High account and relationship management experience, 

  • Understanding of category data analysis tools and techniques (IRI, shopper data, Quantium etc.) 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver ambitious targets and KPIs, 

  • Develop customers business plans with customers, 

  • Partnered with key stakeholders across multiple work areas to achieve business goals, 

  • High level Project Management & strong admin background/PO raising etc, 

  • Data Analysis skills, 

  • Negotiation skills.
