Your role within the team 
We’re looking for a driven Wellness Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across your territory through strong customer partnerships and consistent in-field execution. You’ll own sales performance, delivering against targets while identifying new opportunities and influencing key decision-makers. Combining commercial acumen with wellness expertise, you’ll build product advocacy through impactful education, training, and events—ensuring our brands are trusted and recommended in market. This is a dynamic role where your ability to connect, influence, and execute will directly drive commercial success. The territory for this role will be Victoria, with specifc area to be confirmed.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Deliver quarterly and annual sales targets by driving consistent execution across your designated territory. 

  • Maintain strong customer call coverage and meet agreed service levels, ensuring regular, high-quality engagement with key accounts. 

  • Promote products in line with brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and compliant representation in market. 

  • Develop and execute territory training plans in partnership with the Education team to build capability and drive product advocacy. 

  • Deliver in-field training to key decision-makers, including Pharmacists, Naturopaths, and retail teams, to support recommendation and sell-through. 

  • Plan and facilitate engaging in-store training sessions, ensuring key stakeholders are equipped with product knowledge and confidence. 

  • Lead the delivery of state-based education events, coordinating logistics, content, and stakeholder engagement. 

  • Build strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted partner to drive both sales performance and brand advocacy. 

  • Track and report on training activity, sales performance, and customer engagement to ensure visibility and continuous improvement. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on priorities, share insights, and ensure a seamless and impactful execution across the territory.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or territory management within pharmaceutical, naturopathy, medical, health food, or FMCG environments. 

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Science, Naturopathy, or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of clinical terminology and healthcare industry dynamics. 

  • Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to understand P&L, evaluate opportunities, and develop compelling, ROI-driven business proposals. 

  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow customer relationships, influencing key decision-makers and driving long-term partnerships. 

  • Advanced product and wellness expertise, with the ability to confidently detail and educate Pharmacists, Naturopaths, and retail partners using clinical evidence. 

  • Highly developed presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences, handle objections, and close with confidence. 

  • Strategic mindset with experience in analysing customer performance, building account plans, and identifying sustainable growth opportunities. 

  • Confidence in negotiating win-win commercial outcomes, with strong preparation, resilience, and the ability to challenge constructively. 

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, understand growth drivers (e.g. penetration, AWOP, frequency), and respond to performance insights. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), strong organisational skills, and a valid Full Australian Driver’s Licence, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
