Your role within the team 

We are looking for a Group Reporting Manager to lead the delivery of timely and accurate group financial reporting, oversee internal and external audit processes, and ensure compliance with all financial, statutory, and regulatory requirements across the ANZ region. 

 
Key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead the end-to-end external audit and half-year review processes, including coordinating auditor requirements, managing information requests, and overseeing the preparation of supporting workpapers across local finance teams. 

  • Own and manage relationships with external auditors and third-party accounting service providers. 

  • Prepare consolidated group reporting packages for audit and review purposes, including consolidation, foreign currency translation, cash flow statements, and other technical accounting deliverables (using Oracle NetSuite and Hyperion). 

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly consolidated group accounts for submission to the Hong Kong-listed parent entity, supporting a timely and accurate month-end close process. 

  • Prepare statutory financial statements in line with ASIC requirements and other regulatory obligations across Australia and New Zealand. 

  • Support the implementation of ASRS S1 and S2 climate reporting. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to ANZ and Global Finance teams, leading the resolution of complex technical accounting issues and assessing their impact on the business. 

  • Draft technical accounting papers in line with relevant accounting standards, and maintain/update Group accounting policies in response to changes in standards or reporting frameworks. 

  • Lead the preparation and management of the Corporate Finance budget. 

  • Contribute to strategic finance initiatives and ad hoc projects, including debt management, M&A activity, due diligence, restructuring, and assessment of growth opportunities.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

  • Minimum 4+ years’ accounting experience gained within a professional services environment (Big 4 or second-tier firm preferred). 

  • Additional experience in a corporate environment (ideally 2+ years) with exposure to group reporting processes. 

  • Strong technical accounting expertise, with advanced knowledge of Australian and International Financial Reporting Standards (AASB and IFRS), including complex accounting matters. 

  • Proven ability to manage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across a matrixed environment. 

  • CA/CPA qualified, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience. 

  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting systems such as Oracle NetSuite, Hyperion Financial Reporting, or similar platforms.
