Your role within the team
The Senior Manager, Government Affairs is a high-impact standalone opportunity to lead Government Affairs for H&H across ANZ, with broader support across Asia including Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and China. You’ll shape and deliver advocacy strategies, build trusted relationships with State and Federal Government, and provide strategic advice on political and regulatory developments. Partnering closely with senior business leaders, you’ll identify risks and opportunities, support regional priorities across Adult, Baby and Pet Nutrition, and help advance H&H’s growth agenda across ANZ and Asia. Reporting to the Managing Director, ANZ, with a dotted line to the CEO ANZ + ASIA for Asia trade matters, this role offers real influence, visibility and impact.
Key responsibilities include:

Monitor government policy, regulatory and trade developments across ANZ and Asia, identifying risks, opportunities and strategic alignment for H&H.

Lead Government Affairs activity, including planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, reporting and administration.

Manage government grant and incentive opportunities, including applications, monitoring, reporting and compliance requirements.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

Strong understanding of ANZ trade, investment, policy and regulatory environments, with the ability to translate developments into business insight.

Background in government, regulatory or policy advocacy, or experience representing an organisation within the government affairs landscape, such as DFAT, DAFF or TGA.

A tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce, along with experience engaging with industry groups such as CMA, AFGC or ACBC, is desirable.

Exposure to Asian trade, investment, political and regulatory environments, including engagement with government officials or bodies across Asia and China, is advantageous.
