Your role within the team 

As Scientific Affairs Associate within the ANZ Science & Research team, you will support the Adult Specialist Nutrition category across H&H ANZ, Asia, and key global markets. Working closely with the Scientific Affairs Manager, you will help translate scientific evidence into practical insights that inform product development, efficacy, claims and trusted communications across the H&H Group.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Provide scientific and technical support across key business functions, including New Product Development, Regulatory, Marketing, Research, Public Relations and Training. 
  • Conduct systematic literature searches and critically review scientific evidence to inform product development, efficacy and claims substantiation. 
  • Support the Scientific Affairs Manager in delivering accurate, evidence-based scientific affairs guidance across the business. 
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, industry experts and relevant external stakeholders.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

  • A postgraduate qualification, such as a PhD or Masters, in pharmaceutical, medical, nutritional, health sciences or a related discipline. 
  • Strong experience conducting strategic literature searches and critically reviewing scientific evidence, ideally within the nutrition field. 
  • Strong capability to critically evaluate and interpret scientific evidence, including mechanisms of action, and translate complex scientific information into clear, practical insights that support product development, innovation, and business opportunities. 
  • Sound knowledge of nutritional and botanical ingredients and their role in human nutrition. 
  • A basic understanding of regulatory requirements for therapeutic listed products and non-therapeutic products, such as foods and beverages, across Australia, Europe, Asia and China would be highly regarded. 
  • Experience supporting product innovation within an FMCG environment.
