This presents opportunity for fascinating legal work, from ACCC regulation and compliance, transformation and project activity, as well as navigating a brand-new regulatory landscape for the cash distribution framework. We are looking for a solutions-focused Lawyer to join the Legal Team. Reporting to Senior Counsel, the successful candidate will take a pivotal role within a legal team that works collaboratively to provide a responsive and effective legal service across the various business units in the Group.
We are looking for a commercial or corporate lawyer, on a full-time, ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a legal team that is highly valued by the business and works collaboratively to provide a responsive and effective legal service across the various business units in the Group.
Key accountabilities for the role you will be responsible for:
- A broad range of legal work from regulatory compliance, customer contracts, ATM leasing, supplier and subcontractor arrangements
- Negotiating general commercial contracts and ensuring Armaguard’s Group members commercial and legal interests are properly represented
- Supporting senior legal team members with regulatory compliance and M&A matters
- Assisting with ensuring Armaguard Group entities maintain licensing and comply with regulatory requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience practicing as a lawyer either in mid-large firm private practice or equivalent in-house legal experience
- A law degree from an Australian tertiary institution and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, commerciality and a team-orientated attitude
- Experience negotiating general commercial contracts
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge and experience in a regulatory environment would be well regarded
- A keen interest in learning a new business and taking on new areas of practice
- Self-sufficiency in relation to document preparation, diary management and file management
