About the role
The main purpose of the Duty Manager role is to provide effective day to day operations of Ripples venues in accordance with available resources and adherence to policies and procedures. A Duty Manager is also required to ensure that Ripples venues are managed in line with industry best practice and to a high level of service, customer satisfaction, staff management, venue set up, operations, contractor liaison and building warden capacity.
We currently have the following positions available to join our Venue Operations Team.
- Temporary Full Time Position - 38 hours per week - Summer seasonal contracts from October 2025 - April 2026, with training to commence in September.
- Temporary Part Time Positions - various days/shifts available - Summer seasonal contracts from October 2025 - April 2026, with training to commence in September. Must be available for weekend work.
- Casual Positions - shifts available as required across 7-days during centre operational hours.
Duty Manager Shifts are across a variety of hours, ranging from 5am-10pm, including weekend work.

- Pool Lifeguard Certificate (Pool Lifeguard Skill Set)
- Pool Plant Operator
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NSW Working with Children Check
Commencing salary:
- Temporary Full Time and Temporary Part Time Positions: $34.22 -$39.21 per hour plus 11.5% Superannuation and weekend penalties (where applicable)
- Casual Positions: $34.22 - $39.21 per hour, plus 11.5% Superannuation, plus casual loading and weekend penalties (where applicable)
This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
