| Position Overview: |
The Outreach and Business Coordinator will serve as a front door and a face for the Sherman Center, coordinating outreach with alumni, supporting Sherman Center staff, contacting community partners, connecting with potential Sherman Volunteers, onboarding new employees, conducting regular payroll audits and executing Sherman Center Events. This position will support Sherman Center programs such as MECLP in growing operational capacity and facilitating on campus activities. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director for Operations to keep the center running smoothly.

| Responsibilities: |
- Outreach Coordination: Conduct outreach campaigns, Maintain updated contact lists for alumni and community partners, oversee GBSC Graduate Assistant, manage GBSC social media accounts
- Event Logistics: Manage logistics and planning for GBSC events, support constituent programs in event management, work with community partners and UMBC Events team to execute events on campus
- Payroll and Onboarding: Support employees through onboarding and paperwork submission, including all student employees, manage biweekly payroll processes, perform regular maintenance of payroll accounts with support of Assistant Director, field payroll questions for GBSC employees
- Administrative Support: Support Sherman Center programs with general administrative support including but not limited to travel reimbursements, scholarship administration, website management, and digital content creation

| Required Minimum Qualifications: |
- Bachelors Degree
- 2 year’s experience in administrative staff work
- Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities
- Experience coordinating events
|
| Preferred Qualifications: |
- Spanish Language proficiency strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating Volunteers
- Experience with Graphic Design and Outreach
- Experience with onboarding or payroll
- Knowledge of the Baltimore Educational and Philanthropic landscapes

| Salary: |
Salary: $61,000 - $69,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
