Responsibilities:

Part-time opportunity working with the Director of Talent Engagement & Labor Relations.  Position is for approximately 30-32 hours per week.  The ideal work schedule will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Some Fridays will be needed for collective bargaining. Will consider flexibility in determining final schedule.

This position is Contingent I/temporary status. Initial contract will be for six months with the possibility of renewal. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with requests for Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML)
  • Assisting with union and collective bargaining relations
  • Assisting in gathering data for requests for information and organizing information requests
  • Taking notes during bargaining sessions
  • Assessing and escalating inquiries related to contract administration where appropriate
  • Responding to external requests for detailed data.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent related experience)
  • Experience with contract language/MOUs and organizing legal documents
  • Advanced Microsoft
  • Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: 

Previous experience in employee/labor relations

Salary:

Hourly Salary Range: Minimum: $30 to Maximum: $34, commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
