The mission of the Department of Decision Sciences is to advance and disseminate knowledge in management information systems, manufacturing and supply chain management, and quantitative methods. We provide high quality educational programs, publish theoretical and applied research, and serve University, professional, and community organizations.

About the Position

The Decision Sciences Department invites applications for a vacancy pool from which candidates will be selected to fill full and part-time, non-tenure track positions. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled as they become available.

Position Responsibilities: 

The department, college, and University value teaching, and expect Instructors to be excellent teachers; to be current in their discipline; to engage students actively in learning through discussion, writing, and analysis; and to set high standards regarding course content. Instructors are expected to provide students with feedback on their coursework and examinations and to be available to students through regularly scheduled office hours in keeping with department policy. Instructors must have their students evaluate their course(s) using the standard University evaluation forms, or others approved by the provost and must make those evaluations available to the department chairs and faculty for annual review.

Required Qualifications
  • MBA or master's degree in appropriate field
  • Evidence of effective teaching skills and performance
  • Academically or professionally qualified in accordance with college and AACSB standards. AACSB qualification status is based on the applicant’s record with respect to factors including academic preparation, scholarly publication record, professional work experience, and ongoing engagement with academic and professional activities.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff and to teach an increasingly diverse student population that includes students traditionally underrepresented in business fields.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in appropriate field
  • Evidence of teaching experience and effective teaching performance at the undergraduate level
