About the Position The Parking Operations Analyst in the Transportation Services Department is responsible for the parking operations of Western Washington University which includes customer service and support, citation collections, appeals, and permits. This position provides analysis of the effectiveness of parking policies and procedures, their implementation and execution. Identifies areas for improvement, and implements innovative solutions to optimize policies, operations, and services. Monitors industry trends and best practices to incorporate new technologies and methodologies into the planning and execution of parking operations. Assesses risks associated with parking operations and developing and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.

The Parking Operations Analyst is responsible for managing parking operations and ensuring that parking goals and objectives are met. Responsible for the financial planning, budgeting, cost controls, and financial management and analysis of parking operations. Implements and maintains accountability-based fiscal practices; ensuring revenue, expenditures, and capital reserve funds align with the Department’s goals and mission. Develops and implements a comprehensive communication strategy for parking operations. Oversees contracts and agreements with external service providers and monitors contract performance ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.

The position oversees all customer support services for Transportation Services and supports the team members of the department while providing and receiving constructive feedback to enhance team members’ and the department’s capabilities. Implements and oversees training and mentoring of the customer service representatives and the Transportation Services Coordinator positions to ensure the highest standards of excellence are met and are consistent with the vision and mission of the University. Ensures a customer-centric approach is the focus of parking operations. Gathers, analyzes, and acts upon feedback to enhance parking and customer service quality.

This position reports to the Director of Transportation Services.

The State HR classification for this position is Management Analyst 3.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; or a bachelor’s degree and five or more years of professional experience in transportation, logistics, finance, accounting or related field.
  • Three years of experience in supervising, managing, or leading transportation, logistics, finance, or accounting teams.
  • Three years of experience in supervising, managing, or leading customer service teams.
  • Three years of experience with complex programs and systems, analyzing data, performing complex reconciliations, preparing complex reports, and identifying, researching, and resolving issues.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively translate, simplify and communicate, both written and verbally, data and technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated individual capable of setting the tempo in a fast-paced work environment and fostering teamwork.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, thoroughness with a strong knowledge of internal controls.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to cultivate work environments that are equitable and inclusive for individuals from diverse social identities and backgrounds.

Salary 

$4,962 - $6,669/month depending on qualifications and experience.
