The role
The Crown Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting surveys and survey investigations under the guidance of the Senior Registered Surveyor. This role involves coordinating Aboriginal Land Claim survey programs, managing commercial and land use planning projects within set time frames, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of land information data. Additionally, the Crown Land Surveyor provides professional advice on statutory survey and titling matters, offers recommendations on commercial tenures and disposal issues, and represents the Department in community engagements and client services.
The key challenges of this role include developing proficiency in cadastral survey investigations, especially those involving water and Crown land boundaries, and effectively liaising with clients to resolve survey and titling issues related to water boundaries. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship-building skills within the surveying profession and the ability to provide informed advice and recommendations on complex land matters.

What is an essential requirement:
- Degree qualifications in Surveying with willingness to become registered under the Surveying Act 2001
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
