The Sydney Olympic Park Authority (Authority) is seeking an experienced Principal Project Officer, Infrastructure to contribute to the timely delivery of the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 (PLR2) project. Partnering closely with Transport for NSW, you’ll ensure smooth collaboration between both organisations relating to contractual compliance, environmental, ecological, urban and landscape design and planning compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
About this role:
As the Principal Project Officer, Infrastructure, you will facilitate the transfer of knowledge, resources and coordinate technical feedback between the Authority and TfNSW, to enable the timely delivery of the PLR2 project. You will ensure effective administration and compliance with agreements between the two agencies, review project documentation, and monitor the progression and performance of works. You will be instrumental in maintaining SOPA’s reputation for excellence as you assess and coordinate feedback on draft construction and environmental management plans, designs and specifications submitted by TfNSW or its contractors.

What you will bring to the role
- Proven experience project managing complex development or infrastructure projects, including project managing interface relationships with large city shaping infrastructure projects to programme and managing competing tensions.
- Ability to effectively administer compliance with agreements between the two agencies relating to the design and delivery of the enabling works, precinct and public domain works, including the preparation of annual monitoring reports to justify resourcing allocation.
- Skill in reviewing and coordinating feedback on project documentation and applications for Authority approvals and monitoring the progression and performance of the works to ensure compliance (where relevant) with relevant processes, practices, policies, specifications and relevant legislation (with input from internal subject matter experts).
- Ability to maintain simple, consistent and transparent information from a range of stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery, input and high-quality outcomes.
- Commitment to exceptional standards of urban, architecture and landscape design within the constraints of budget, delivery deadlines, and the international significance of the precinct.
What is an essential requirement:
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Planning, Landscape Architecture or a related field and/or relevant experience.
