  • Office location – Parramatta (Negotiable)
  • Package includes salary $120,859 to $133,183, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has unique opportunities for two Senior Policy Officers to work as part of the team and contribute towards the development of a broad range of policies related to the joint management of the NPWS reserve system.

 

The role is responsible for providing expert policy advice and information to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of policies and support Agency and/or Government policy initiatives.

 

 

About You

 

You will have experience to operate with some level of autonomy, makes day to day decisions relating to work priorities and workload management and is accountable for the quality, integrity and accuracy of content of advice provided in relation to divisional policy issues.

 

In addition, you will have experience building meaningful relationships and effective communication with interagency staff and internal staff, whilst exercising sound judgement in managing operational issues and emergency response in consultation with the Branch management team and deliver high level policy analysis on program and project development.

 

 

Essential Requirements –

 

  • Experience in the provision of policy advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of policies and legislation particularly related to Aboriginal joint management and native title.
  • Policy analysis and implementation skills and experience translating policy into processes, guidelines and procedures
