  • Location negotiable across NSW with main offices in Parramatta, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Bathurst, Queanbeyan, Wollongong, Albury, Orange.  

  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $70,694 - $76,857 + super

Value NSW is currently seeking a Data Officer to become an integral part of our team. The role involves overseeing the Register of Land Values and offering administrative support to aid the Team Leader in ensuring that Register Maintenance tasks comply with the Valuation of Land Act, the Service Level Agreement with the Valuer General, and departmental policies and procedures.

What you will bring to the role 

We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to data integrity and governance. You will have demonstrated experience in the maintenance of complex data systems and have a strong ability to understand relevant legislation. You will also have strong communication, relationship and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure you can liaise across all levels of the business.  

About Us  

Value NSW (VNSW) provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General of NSW.  

This includes:  

  • Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxation purposes along with the determination of compensations through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheld.  

  • Making valuations as well as monitoring, assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.  

  • Completing land valuations and determinations of compensation; and  

  • Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as and when required for other cluster or state-wide government partners.
