The role

The Director, Planning Portal Interface, leads the development and delivery of the NSW Planning Portal’s digital roadmap, ensuring that it meets business and customer needs. In this role, you’ll manage collaboration with the Digital Information Office and Corporate Services to digitise planning policies, ensuring seamless integration and usability within the Portal. This involves strategic oversight of product development and prioritization to align with the Planning Group’s objectives.

 

Navigating the role's challenges requires balancing diverse stakeholder expectations and providing sound planning policy advice in a high-stakes, dynamic environment. As Director, you'll foster productive relationships across the Planning Group and other government agencies, lead innovation initiatives, and manage resources to optimise results within budget constraints.

What you will bring to the role

  • Significant knowledge of the workings of government and in-depth knowledge and experience working with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals. 
  • Significant experience at a senior executive level managing large and complex resources to achieve key organisational objectives.
  • Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process, fostering collaboration and buy-in. 

 

What is an essential requirement:

  • Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
