The role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the role of Legislative and Regulatory Compliance Manager—a critical leadership position driving the development and implementation of regulatory activities across the Department and its network agencies.

In this role, you will play a key role in establishing governance structures, managing resources, and identifying and mitigating departmental risks. The role involves delivering high-quality project plans, reports, and correspondence, while also collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. You will drive improvements to the Department’s risk management systems and provide expert, strategic advice to support project delivery and decision-making at senior levels.

What You Will Bring to the Role:

• A proven track record of managing complex, sensitive consultations with a broad range of stakeholders
• Experience delivering high-impact projects within tight timeframes and resource constraints
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to lead day-to-day operations with confidence
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and public sector governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information
• Advanced skills in project management, including planning, coordination, and control methods.

Essential requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in law, public administration, corporate governance or a related field and/or relevant professional experience.
