The role  

Our Sydney Olympic Park Authority Venues team is hiring Venue Coordinators to help ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of our events, customer service, and operations at the iconic Athletics Centre. In this role, you'll work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including sporting bodies, carnival convenors, community groups, and commercial businesses to bring major event programs to life. 

Your responsibilities will include delivering events based on booking requirements and venue operations, assisting the Venue Supervisor in overseeing operations and resource allocation, and maintaining venue assets, equipment, and facilities. You'll play a key role in ensuring our venues are presented to the highest standard, mitigating risks, and keeping our storage areas well-organised.

What you will bring to the role  

  • Experience in a venue coordination role ideally across medium to large size venues
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others towards achieving common goals 
  • Proven ability to be flexible and adaptable, excelling in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment 
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure the venue and its equipment is always presentable and meets quality standards. 

 What is an essential requirement: 

  • National Criminal Records Check 
  • Working With Children Check 
  • Apply First aid 
  • Advanced resuscitation certificate 
  • Current Driver licence 
  • Seasonal weekend work is required with shift allowance
