- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $73,522 to $79,931 (pro rata) + super and 17% loading for working weekends and public holidays

About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an ongoing part-time Information and Retail Assistant to work as part of the South Coast team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
As an Information and Retail Assistant, you will provide professional and focused customer services through the provision of visitor information, site reception services, collection and reconciliation of entry fees and retail/merchandise sales.
Please note you must be available to work weekends, public holidays and peak periods.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Experience acting independently on matters relating to the entry of visitors to the national park where supervisors are not readily available.
- Experience in exercising excellent customer service and negotiation skills as well as sound people and diplomatic skills to deal effectively with cultural differences or limited English skills.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a retail environment including dealing with customer enquiries in a reception or frontline service area, cash handling procedures and using digital booking software.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring this check in line with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends and public holidays if required.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
