- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $125,693.00 - $138,510.00 + Super
The role:
In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders across the Department to support the resolution of complex people matters—think performance, conduct, disputes, and everything in between. You’ll be a trusted advisor, helping to guide fair and timely solutions that improve outcomes for individuals and the broader organisation. It’s a role that balances the human side of workplace relations with a strategic, systems-thinking mindset.
You’ll need to navigate sensitive issues, often with competing views, while keeping communication clear and solutions people-focused. Whether it’s guiding early intervention, partnering on best practice policies, or helping build leadership capability, you’ll be part of shaping a strong, respectful workplace culture.
About you:
- You’re confident handling complex people challenges and finding practical, fair outcomes.
- You bring strong knowledge of workplace relations and employment legislation.
- You know how to influence, negotiate, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- You’re proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- You can think critically, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly—especially when things get tricky.

What is an essential requirement:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or strong knowledge of human resources management issues and relevant legislation, regulations, policies and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving complex people management issues, including stakeholder engagement, relationships/ expectations management.
