  • Wollongong office location (3 days onsite) with flexible working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $82,193 to $90,001 + super

 

At the heart of the New South Wales (NSW) planning system, the Planning Group takes centre stage. Driven by the NSW Government’s unwavering commitment to tackle the critical housing issue, we provide essential support and strategic guidance. The Planning Land Use Strategy, Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team are the driving force behind the Department's strategic planning, policy, rezoning, and infrastructure projects, all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live. 

The role 

The Administrative Officer provides quality service and administrative support services to enable the timely and efficient delivery of business initiatives, including records management, diary management, meeting and project support, collect and compile information in line with quality and departmental requirements, to support information flow and inform decision making and maintain and update office systems, databases, procedures and methods in line with standards, policies and procedures to improve smooth operation of the unit.

Key knowledge and experience

  • An understanding of the NSW Planning system and current challenges/opportunities affecting planning is preferable.

 

About you 

Our Administrative Officer manages competing demands and maintaining attention to detail to ensure administrative support is provided in a timely and efficient manner.  You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the department’s structure, functions and processes to ensure enquiries are managed effectively and solve problems with a high level of discretion, diplomacy and judgement.
